Sweet Potato Casserole recipe

This is oh so good... just beware, it's a little like eating dessert.  We decided it just needs a pie crust and it could be dessert.  This is great for Thanksgiving or Christmas, but also for Easter. 


4 and 1/2 C. cooked and mashed sweet potatoes
1/2 C. butter; melted
1/3 C. milk
1 C. white sugar
1/2 tsp. vanilla extract
2 eggs, beaten

1 C. light brown sugar
1/2 C. all-purpose flour
1/3 C. butter
1 C. chopped pecans

1.  Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.  Grease a 9 X 13 inch baking dish.
2.  In a large bowl, mix together mashed sweet potatoes, 1/2 C. butter, milk, sugar, vanilla extract, and eggs.  Spread sweet potato mixture into the prepared baking dish.  In a small bowl, mix together brown sugar and flour.  Cut in 1/3 C. butter until mixture is crumbly, then stir in pecans.  Sprinkle pecan mixture over the sweet potatoes. 
3. Bake for 25 mins. in the preheated oven, or until golden brown.
